Not Just Rust: Seven ‘Non-Corroding’ Wonders of the World

  • November 14, 2019
    5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Guest Lecture by Dr Rob Francis

The ‘corrosionist’ is often considered to have an obsession with rust mitigation. This presentation shows there are examples of artifacts/infrastructure from around the world that have not corroded yet, that provide evidence that the fight against corrosion, can be won. The examples are technically interesting and fascinating to the layperson as well as the specialist. Starting with the rust-free 1500-year-old Delhi iron pillar, Rob draws on examples from across the globe, that show that your chosen career path is much more than ‘just rust’. These examples formed the basis of a series of short PDF’s published in NACE Materials Performance Journal throughout 2018 and republished on the ACA website with Rob Francis as our featured Author

This is your chance to ask Rob any questions left unanswered.
